Screening Style

Both Huma and Tisca chose to do ‘sparkle’ at a big movie premiere recently. And unfortunately, neither of these lovely women scored a home run.

I really wanted to like Huma’s look in the Tisharth by Shivani dress but between the big sleeves, the faux-wrap hem, voluminous hair and sheer stockings, it all was just too much. I appreciate the 80s call back given the movie premiere she was attending, but she really could do so much better. Would love to see Huma do a sharply tailored look one of these days!

As for Tisca, love the midi skirt and the accessories that she paired it with including the Cult Gaia clutch. If only she had paired ’em with a different top! This was a miss; neither the combo of the two nor the proportions did much for the actor.

  1. Huma should snip off her Hagrid hair. I think it’s the hair that always gives her a very 80ish look.

    Also, loved Tisca’s midi skirt.

  2. Someone needs to tell huma … that leg o mutton sleeves doesn’t work ( on her or anybody else ) they are early 19 century fashion disaster , it only belongs to period movies or museums… she is beautiful but she needs to figure out clothes…

  3. You assume it is a call back to the 80s. Given her record on these pages, its safe to chalk it down to terrible fashion sense with her stylist doing her no favors.

  4. Neither, though I must say Tisca fared a bit better..Huma should really change her stylist..with those big puffy sleeves, wrap around and stockings, nothing really did her any favours..her only saving grace was her make up.disliked the hair too.

  5. Huma is such a beautiful female but I always feel that she lacks a lot of self-confidence and not finding her personal style makes things bad for her. A lot of people save a bad dress just by owning it . Also give us some oomph and it’s not nothing to do with showing a lot of skin in case someone misinterprets it.
I felt the same for Vidya Balan till she started owning it and giving total you $u** balls vibes to everyone. Love the women except she gets obsessed with one type of silhouette and makes sure she repeat it to death. All these misses only make them more human for me and someway more likeable haha..!!
