Teaming a Jonathan Simkhai corset with distressed denims and Saint Laurent platform heels, Tamannaah celebrated her birthday recently. Minus the fact that the denims she chose were distressed, the whole look has bit of an Americana Pin-Up vibe to it. She makes it work for her.

really, dont like the slinky top- looks like the top half of an evening dress, the shoes – creepy design and of course distressed jeans which are stressful for the beholder

A different set of footwear would’ve worked better. Maybe plain red stilettos.
If she’s doing Americana pin up at least take the trouble to get the season right. The polka dotted sandals scream Easter, and here we are in freezing winter still. tut tut…
Man, must it be hard to dress in the USA. There seems to be a seasonal and festive uniform. No white after July 4th. Red and Green is christmas-y. Now polka dots are Easter-y. Pastel shades are for spring. Earthy shades are for Autumn. The list goes on. Its bad enough that these rules apply there. There is no need to spread it any further.

I totally agree with this. In some parts of India we don’t even experience strong seasonal changes in weather which warrant seasonal wardrobess
I just dislike corset tops so much. They always scream look-at-me to me. And corset tops and sarees is what nighmares are made of :p
