For the NMACC Gala in Mumbai, Gigi was dressed in an archival Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari. The dramatic blouse is sure to be polarizing but I think it was a great pick for Gigi. It was a risk, it was theatrical, and to me, it was something that worked!

Yes she looks good but 2 minor gripes
The white color washes her out
The saree drape at the plates, is not the usual and looks like a lungi more than a saree
I’m guessing Dolly Jain, the master drape artist, didn’t want that beautiful border on the sari edge to be hidden. It added a nice visual element and had more of an impact than a regular drape would, imho.
On the fence about the chooda-like bangle stack though…
is this a modification of the Kerala set mundu saree.. it looks so to me
Really did not like it. Very costume-y. The hair isn’t enhancing the look. The make up washes her out. It’s really underwhelming but I’m not sure what I would do differently. It just doesn’t scream art or novel given the event
A deeper color Saree would have worked better on her.

Love the top, it needed a better saree, lehenga, bottom.. something as spunky. Also the beige tone make up killed this look.
Without that blouse it would have been a very ordinary look. I am sure she/her stylist wanted over the top Bollywood. She looks great!
The blouse is stunning…. I’m imagining it with a deep maroon or wine-colored saree and I think it would have looked even better. Bit of a washout the white…

That yellow gold is not suiting her. Clashing with her hair and its definitely ageing her in a bad way.
Somehow underwhelmed. The blouse and saree and nice separately but not together.
Wish she was wearing something like what Priyanka or Kriti wore – the purple or black Banarasi gowns.

The blouse is an eyesore. Disliked the exaggerated sleeves , same one worn (in multicolour) by Natasha Stankovic at her wedding to Hardik.

So gimmicky .This looks like a kerala style saree with an OTT blouse and styling .
among the best dressed at the event!the saree drape worked coz the blouse was not a snug fit, the hair do, the accessories.. in comparison many BW celebs wear OTT clothes and accessorize to the hilt which looks weird
