In Twos

Another day, another song (whose video she features in) to promote. Teaming both the dress and separates with heels and hoops, she rounded out the looks with loose-set wavy hair. She makes both looks work for her.

    • You will now receive heavy shelling from feminists “Why cant women choose to expose their bodies” “Why should they only wear a certain something” “She should be free to display her body even if she is 80”
      So please get ready :))

      • Please define “feminist”. I am one and all it means to me is equality of sexes. On the matter of this lady’s fashion choice, I understand she’s 38 or thereabouts. She looks good. She wears her look well. Should this look be confined to the 16-25 age group? Not in my opinion. Does skin show equal feminism? No. I hope this clears whatever muddle you have in your head.

      • Ok there are females who are not feminist ? Woahh..so you actually are fine and believe in inequality of genders ? You are fine with pay difference ..?You are fine with the glass ceiling ? I guess it is time you rework on your definition of feminism. How is she dressing up in any way related to any -ism. This is a simple matter of how to dress up , choices , place and time. This is her persona she like very teen-ish thing and while I am not fond of her as an artist she makes it work .It is fabulous ..heck no ..but you don’t mind it. May be on someone else I will say hmm doesn’t work on her . That’s exactly fashion is all about – you express your personality , keep it original and it works for you.Nandita Das ( for me ) wears the most basic sarees and we just love her . I can carry the most sack looking , homeless ( runway kinda silhouettes) . My friend love that ascetics but cant pull it off as it is not there personality . And yes , it is ok to say uggh there is too much skin show – again nothing to do with any -ism . Imagine a man walking around with open zipper , we are gonna say the same . So forget about notions and at times we can just look at the things at hand and stop commenting on what other will be commenting.

  1. The outfits are nothing to talk about but this woman give the young bees of bollywood a run for their money as far as fitness is concerned!

  2. While I am grateful to this blog for expanding my horizon on fashion and different labels, I am glad I don’t share my fashion sensibilities with the bloggers. These looks are cringe on so many levels but I’ll just leave it there.

  4. Teeny bopper chic the denim shorts look definitely is….
She is fit but the stylist needs to put their foot down and get her age appropriate looks

  5. She looks youthful enough to pull off both the outfits… She must be working hard to stay in shape… The clothes look good on her. They are teensy but not tacky.. Nothing wrong in flaunting it when you got it ?

  6. She is a gorgeous lady but she or her stylists don’t seem to know the first thing about fashion. These looks would look hideous on teens/Ananya as well.

  7. Very teen-sy outfits yes, but lets just agree about how good she looks in them please! So fricking fit! And at 38 – phew! I am all for ‘age-appropriate’ dressing, but the way she pulls this off is definitely commendable – in fact even better than most of the actual teens/tweens of B’wood seem to!

  8. I don’t get it. You have all these choices to choose from, all these opportunities to show off your style, and a banging body to go with it….and you pick these outfits? A ruched 80s dress and Jhanvi Kapoor’s gym shorts? Doesn’t make any sense.
