Wearing, you guessed it, a Sabyasachi sari, Deepika attended Javed Akhtar’s birthday celebrations in Mumbai. With her hair pulled back in to a sleek knot, she rounded out the look with smokey eyes, brown-toned lip color and traditional jewelry.
Did she look nice? Yes. Was the look memorable? Not by any means.

What a doll! I actually like it when Deepika goes with more conventional glamour. She is a sweet person.
this is a timeless saree I mean u can have it in ur closet for the past 10years also still look classy.
I feel this woman is beautiful and whatever she wears looks great on her but may be the promotion of chappak was too severe that we got bored seeing deepika’s sight.
I’m sure if we haven’t seen any of her picture for 20days and suddenly this pops up then it’s a WIN

Yep even I expanded the pic to see how low it really was. And I’m a woman. And I agree of course a woman can wear what she wants, but rest assured it does attract attention to a certain part of the anatomy.

It’s a nice sari though I think her make-up should be better. Really dislike her eyebrows and eye make-up generally. Apart from that, this is fine. It was someone else’s birthday, not hers. There’s no need to dress to be memorable on someone else’s day.
Well she looks so elegant.. I wish sometimes she’d skip the whole look making with earrings, sleek hair.. and just wear a saree with open hair (with the nice new hair cut) and just bangles or something..

I think she looks lovely, Saree is beautiful and understated.
It’s very hard to look beyond her gorgeous face, and her frame can make almost any silhouette work. That said, I’m surprised she didn’t cover up that major hickey on her décolleté, especially seeing as this is an event of an elder, it would seem kind of embarrassing. The large red mark is most visible is the bottom left picture.

She’s at someone’s birthday party, not at a gala/award function/ something related to a movie that she is in. And in 2020, a woman still gets judged for making other people look at her because of the clothes she wears.
