I adore Amrapali, I think their jewelry is absolutely fabulous! You are always sure to find something that is either traditional with a modern twist or modern with a traditional twist but always something that is unique and fantastic! Love their Khan market store in Delhi, am yet to leave empty-handed once am in, a bauble or two always makes its way in…

Now that the gushing is out of the way…the fashion week preview of Amrapali has me worried. If someone didn’t caption it ‘Amrapali’, I wouldn’t have ever guessed…

Though disappointed at the preview, we are still looking forward to the Autumn/Winter show…and hoping our worst fears don’t come true…

Being that it is a slow news day, here is some more from the archives.

Here is a classic case of where the outfit looks great on the model. The dress is too long for Bipasha as you can see by the way it sits on the floor. I am guessing, she chose in a hurry and so they didn’t have time to tailor it to her height.

It’s either that Vidya asks for it or designers simply hate her. Cuz, we really don’t understand why designers like Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, would knowingly make an outfit of theirs sooo ugly by blinging it to the core!

No, we aren’t really doing a feature on some out of work Vegas showgirls.

In fact, if you still didnt recognize the ladies above, they are, Serena & Venus Williams and Jelena Jankovic! The ladies can kick your ass on the tennis court, but wearing a sari is definitely not their forte and we don’t expect it to be!

But, for the sponsors to dress them up in cheap velvet blouses and the lowest end quality of mysore silk is just sad! Tsk Tsk.

For next time, we hope they take some hints from Anna Kournikova below and make some demands before slipping into such shoddy stuff!
