Wearing a Richard Quinn gown with Chopard jewels, Anushka walked the Cannes red carpet. Love that the gown while still timeless in its appeal, looks fresh and contemporary; it was a great pick for Anushka. You can tell this look is right up her alley; she looked statuesque and lovely.

I think this is right up her alley but watching the videos of the red-carpet and other unstaged photos, she looks very uncomfortable and awkward. The hair also looks too severe. This is a good look but is not memorable which is Anushka’s overall vibe and style to be honest.
This! I don’t think Cannes should be judged based on staged photoshoots which are so highly curated. I first saw this look via red carpet photos and videos, and while the gown was elegant and pretty, she looked very awkward and it washed her out. Did not like the severe hair which made her face look very harsh in many angles. It’s a miss for me.
I agree. Anushka has huge advantage when it comes to todays fashion. Her body type is very what I call “designer friendly”, almost every “western” design of today will always look far more neat and clean on her.
Not to take anything away from her or this look. But comparing and calling it best look ever will not be a fair standard to judge others.
Exactly ! Same with Kriti, – the leaner non curvy body type works well for most gowns.
It was her first outing at Cannes. So a little awkwardness is expected. She looked elegant, beautiful and stylish which has always been her vibe.

Nice look, it’s an average gown. but Anushka could have wowed. I expected her to knock it out of the park. The harsh hairdo is a let down.

It really is easy to give a great appearance when it’s your first or second at Cannes. Try doing this for 10 or more years and then it gets harder. It’s why I think it’s harder for Aishwarya Rai or Eva Longoria to looks good AND fresh at this event anymore.
