Meh! I find it really funny when celebs preach rewear to mortals like us like we do it any different lmao? These guys have multiple shoots and outfits in a day and fly in private jets (she did for her NA) repeating a wedding outfit for effect and sentimental purposes suddenly becomes applause worthy? Bar is on the floor.
Yeah I don’t get the preachiness in her instagram posts. It’s great she rewore it, for sentimental reasons. But we do it all the time? Celebs on the other hand with the number of ad shoots, PR appearances, events, magazine shoots and movies they engage in it’s comical how just a handful of repeats is supposed to negate the carbon footprint they leave behind. I’m by no means suggesting she should give up her career – it’s the demand of the business, albeit sustainable choices can be made. But for her to posture this repeat (which she did for sentimental values or for effect) is hardly an environmental decision she claims for it to be. We laymen repeat all the time.
Well said!! She definitely didn’t wear it for sustainable purposes, sentimental purpose or may be good omen. Thats about it. Celebs contribute the most to the bad environmental factors, by all possible means. Wonder how they don’t think of it before preaching.
Well said. No doubt she looks nice but this entire brouhaha surrounding the so-called ‘rewear’ by the media seriously needs a rest. One of the things, that, infact smells of celeb elitism.
She looks like a young Madhuri in the first picture 🙂 but agree with most comments not a big deal but props for choosing a wedding outfit that can be reworn multiple times. The heavy ornate lehengas are a bit tough to rewear unless you repurpose for another wedding itself.
Its so hard to re-wear Indian wedding outfits considering how OTT they usually are. Props for choosing something sublime and elegant for her big day that could be worn again for another important event.
She looks lovely , wish her hair was up like this for her wedding too . Love that she was able to reuse & rewear her wedding saree , it’s a saree u can dress up ( with a heavy necklace /earrings like her wedding day ) or dress down (lighter jewelry) for the day time award .
Not sure if I’d re-wear my wedding saree for such and event, but I do applaud her for repeating an outfit. Plus, she looks absolutely lovely. Such a gorgeous saree.
Now this is a celeb trend I could get behind!
Beautiful sari!
She looks beautiful!
Alia looks lovely! and this rewear is a great trend!

Who are these people who don’t repeat outfits? Top 1%? I am glad she repeated, but that is most of us all the time?

It’s their 0.00001% contribution to environment.

To me, this act of Alia shows this occasion is as special to her as her wedding. And, she’s not trying to preach anything.
No bar is million feet under the ground when it comes to BW celebrities
SMH
love the re-wear, hate the drape
Thumbs up for the re-wear . She looks lovely
She looked great at the awards. Her makeup and hair was so on point.
Alia looks lovely and glad she did her hair up this way. This appearance reminds me of Deepika’s TIME 100 appearance, but DP was nitpicked for the choker hah! Sabya, Similar hair, accessorising. Hardly a novel look but made me think of it.

Just saying this in jest-she wore the same saree to celebrate winning both her trophies 😉
You know what, you wouldn’t like it if a woman was called a “trophy.”
