In Sabyasachi x H&M

Wearing separates from the latest high-street + designer collab, Alia stepped out in Mumbai. Matching earrings and pair of yellow-toned sandals rounded out the actor’s look. The Sabyasachi X H&M collab has been pretty divisive… Like the look on her?

  1. You need to have a natural pizzazz to carry off such outfits. I can see Deepika rocking this look. Alia seems too conscious and the pants look wrong on her.

    • Idk but these kinda kurtis have been all over in early 2000.. worn over on all kinds of bottoms and as a top dress too. So don’t get about having to be able to carry it. I think Deepika wore these tops in her earlier movies.

  2. Its like a tunic.. she should not ve tucked it in.. & worn it with regular jeans or denim shorts. Also the collection was average at best and any signature element from the designer was totally missing.

  3. I love this outfit, especially the pop of yellow in footwear! But agree with the comment above – Alia could have carried with better with more confidence.

  4. It is selling for £75 on H&M UK (Sold out but that is the price point) – really surprised… that is expensive for H&M. And I agree, nothing Sabya about it, nothing differentiating about it. I have better made and better quality kurtis for half the price.

    • @SS I am just shocked its only $75. You say BW and mango people will be willing to pay $750 for that blouse. I agree chiffon variations of that kurti are available all over Malviya Nagar and Karol Bagh markets for decades now. You cannot use the word scam when it comes to esteemed designers but literally “nothing to see here”

      • the problem is it was labelled “chiffon top/kurti/saree”as in that was the name of the garment and it was 100% rayon/viscose/polyster.

  5. I may be in the minority – I don’t really like the neckline of the tunic or that it’s paired with those shorts. However, Alia looks amazing neck-up. Her makeup is great and the hair works on her. She looks more put-together than ever before.

  6. I’m so bummed at how quickly this collection sold out. We live in the west coast and so had almost zero chance of getting to buy anything from his collection. It went live at 3am. Completely sold out within minutes .

  7. So disappointed that celebs got free samples when people like me, who can only dream of owning a sabyasachi through collaborations like this, didn’t get a chance to buy anything. I was on the website right on time and within 30 seconds everything was sold out.
Being a huge sabyasachi fan for many years, I am truly disappointed and put off by how the brand handled this collaboration.

  8. This was such a shameful collection, coming from the studio of a man who hypes himself as purveyor & champion of all things Indian craft & textile! At a time when craftspeople are in dire straits, he squandered such a great opportunity on their behalf. That open letter doing the rounds says it better than I ever could.

    • Say what you like the collection will sell well here US. Everyone is allowed to spread their wings and experiment with diff market. The world is one big place now and genres and aesthetics will overlap and interact. He seems to be the targeted from within his industry. These open letters mean nothing to 90% population.
It is not my personal fav from him but I hope he does more of such collabs.
