poor girl tryin so hard to hide her arms. unfortunately, that whole heavy ruffles is so overwhelming to her delicate face. the color doesnt work on her too.

Could not agree more. That shoulder thing makes things even more so.

Adore her in this ! I guess, she kept it minimalist for the dress to do all the talking :)

What looks fierce on the model, looks so blah on Sonam

You are right! The model is fierce, hence the dress looks good. Sonam is not, hence the dress doesn’t look so good. Easy!

on the model , the dress looks gorgeous and flowy. on sonam, it looks like a cheap knock off. she is just not edgy enough to pull off a look with the fuzzy animal looking ‘thing’ on her shoulder .

how I wish she had worn this gown without the wrap and flowers around her neck. Beautiful Clutch, I think this is also by Gucci.

I still think she’s working the gown really well. I’d love to see a picture of her moving in it.

I think she looks good, the gown drapes well on her. But somehow the hair isn’t working.

not nice at all, looks like a circus outfit!

Firstly, I think this chartreuse color is incredibly hard to pull off with Indian skin tones. Secondly, because the top of the gown is so heavy with the high neck and the ruffly situation, I think keeping the lower half of the gown sheer (the way it is on the model) was key. With the bottom half opaque, the whole gown just looks way too heavy and loses its original flair.

deepika wore a similar dress on the Bazar cover, and her make up & styling was good.

Like the dress on the model and how the ruffles are tied.
But on sonam the ruffles look like a big ribbon on a birthday present :-)
Dont like her makeup, and the dress makes her body look big & her face small.

This is too overwhelming on her. Don’t like it. Have seen these Gucci gowns on so many celebs – and worn well. This needed some fierce attitude as opposed to the smily, sweet girl one. IMHO she doesn’t do justice to the gown.

I think she carries the gown well… Are you not going to post her pics from Bombay Times party ?

the only good thing about this look is the color of the gown. Sonam is drowning in that gown.

I LOVE the color. Don’t like the shoulder detail.

this is the first time i am not liking sonam in a fab. dress……
she makes the dress look like something you would choke in !
    anyways i love the dress….
i think sonam should have glamed up (darker makeup)and not gone with the good girl makeup …

the dress needed the belt. such a fierce gown looks so dowdy and shapeless on her.

that monstrosity on the shoulder could have been a little toned down

reminds me of Phoebe in a ‘Friends’ episode, where she sticks some weird ruffle, to hide a stain. The Dior model looks muchhh better.
