June 6th, 2011 at 4:06 pm . by PriyankaThis Atsu Sekhose gown was a great choice for an evening where the baubles had to take centre-stage. That’s not to say the gown in itself wasn’t strong enough, coz it was. Elegant and restrained. We for one, loved it.

Very very good. I didn’t think I would like 2 piece gowns on anyone, and I was wrong. Like the bright red lipstick with the black gown and diamonds.
Now where was this Sonam at Cannes? She’s killing it here! The dress, the lipstick, the statuesque pose…everything rocks!!
Absolutely fabulous. The gown is bold and glamorous, and she is working the hell out of it.

wow, the dress is so sonam-ish, i am surprised it looks this bad. and the hair…maybe if she’d pinned the curls in a faux bob? terrible look altogether. waste of a beautiful dress.

I don’t mean that she must show skin, But a light fabric would’ve done much better than this heavy beading thing.
Love the entire look, it’s very vintage 1940s, especially the hair and lipstick. Think Rita Hayworth.

I love the vintage hair and makeup but not with this conservative dress. Next time try a strapless gown..in color.

hahaha. yeah exactly. whats with her hair? and while i am all for red lipstick it makes her look really old here. also, the dress on the model looks better made than the one on Sonam, which looks slightly shoddy, but that could be because of differences in lighting.

Though the makeup, accessories, the shimmery top and the dress fit r nice.
But the dress looks like a witches dress just a hat and a broom were missing. Might have been better for a haloween party. (also she looks dipped in makeup).

Don’t like this one bit. The black is too stark and so not summer.I like where she is going with the red lips, but with the hair and the makeup it all seems too much.

So happy to see Sonam wearing Atsu! So happy for Atsu too– our Naga brother :) Summer or Spring I have loved all of Sonam’s looks except two Anamika khanna’s black and white androgynous suit and masaba’s black and white saree at Cannes. And yes I love, love the red lips!

Love love love the dress and the earrings..I wish she added a little bit of a modern touch to this look with either super straight hair or a sleek pulled bag bun/chignon. As far as the lips i wish she had gone for a warmer red…and less of a red with blue undertones. But kudos to sonam for making fashion fun again and less about what is acceptable!!
