Here’s Hoping

January 25th, 2009 at 3:35 am . by Priyanka

We are still holding onto hope that just one of these days Soha does a turnaround and shocks the daylights out of us!

Nothing wrong with this look if Soha was a ‘college attending-mall going-young something’ who was catching a movie in her own time, except she isn’t! Wish she had put in a teeny bit of an effort considering it was a premiere (however low-key)…

completely agree with whatever PnP said.

  2. mj says:

uber blah, as always. can’t believe this girl studied and lived in the UK and didn’t pick up any style..even quirky british style!!

  3. K says:

I’ve come to the conclusion that Soha doesn’t seem to care about making it big in Bollywood or being the ‘it’ gal. you can tell from her movie choices, and the interview she gives. in a way, i appreciate her sensibility… but from a purely superficial, shallow pov, she needs help….of a stylist…and pronto!

  4. Bloo says:

    Terrible!!!!!!!!

  5. Nida says:

So casual… well said about the “college attending” bit I see 100 girls wearing ensembles oh so similar to this on campus.

(I do secretly love her boots)

  6. ar00j says:

atleast her jeans fit! lol n we all know how hard that is for soha. and it isn’t some oddly cut blazer in a grandma color. SO MAYBE she’ll start w/ the younger trends n move to a more sophisiticated and clean style? heres to wishful thinking lol.

    btw @nida: i do too…

on a side note: anyone else think that there are stains on her shirt? b/c those white splotches around her tummy area show up in each picture… ? not cool.

  7. Surbhi says:

even i dont dress like that!!!

  8. Bloo says:

Nida. not so secretly anymore ;)

  9. gayatri says:

is that a belly button piercing that we can see through the black shirt?

  10. what K said. And at some level i think she’s right. at the moment she isnt really a star. just a struggling actor and by those standards, why should she or anyone else care?

  11. Sonia99 says:

I think her makeover should start with a haircut. Her hair always looks weird and dated.
She is allowed to dress casual but she should at least look put-together. This is plain shabby.

  12. Ksmommy says:

she always somehow reminds me of Giada(DLR)…

  13. chingi says:

This is certainly a Toronto colleger’s look.. and definiltely the premiere did not deserve this.. wassup soha… time to get back to basics of fashion.

  14. zara says:

    @ Ksmommy:
You totally nailed it! I knew she reminded me of someone (other than her mother, of course). Her distinctly prominent nose and wide-set eyes are very similar to Giada’s features.

The outfit is completely fine to wear on the go, but completely inappropriate for a movie premiere, regardless of how casual the event is.

She really does need a haircut. She has really strong features that overwhelm her otherwise delicate face, so layers and well-cut bangs would definitely soften her look.
While she’s not stunning like her mother was (and still is), Soha is beautiful in an unconventional way, and I do think she has the potential to rock more avant-garde pieces.

  15. amandaaahhh says:

is it just me or u can sorta see she’s wearing a printed bra lol.

  16. amandaaahhh says:

and she needs to invest in a GOOD straightener ASAP.. or a good hairstylist..

  17. amandaaahhh says:

and whats the point of carrying a fancy FENDI bag if ur gunna hold ur cellphone in ur hand? seriously celebrities.

  18. pppppppppp says:

what the f does she think is she wearing???????
dear dear U R NOT GOING TO THE MALL BUT TO A MOVIE PREVIEW!!!!! TAKE OUT A DRESS!!
and ‘amandaaahhh’ has written the total truth here

  19. shilpa says:

    Get a life critics!

Everyone in B-town dresses to look like they are a princess.
This one is a genuine Royal Blood. She doesn’t have to look like. She is.

I just adore this female for being strong enough to be herself.
