She needs a makeup intervention pronto!

she’s a tremendous actress, so this is not to take away from her cred in any way, but there seems to be a disconnect between her persona and her attire. she has a very, for want of a better word, common face. she carries off her clothes with massive confidence (bordering maybe on prove-a-point desperation) but she desperately needs help with a) make-up b) accessories to tie the whole look together in a classy way. in theory, everything should work over here, but in practice it’s another story.

Thats harsh, I don’t see “over confidence”, I see a well turned out, beautiful woman, who needs to soften her make up a little. When she puts her hair up, she looks chiselled, like Padma Lakshmi in her heydays. Not common at all.

Anushka Sharma has a very common face too. I don’t know what has common face got to do with anything.

@Senorita: I totally agree with you. I haven’t seen her any of her movies yet, and i hope to during my break, but she does need intervention. She comes across as a confident women and I think once she get the makeup and posture fine-tuned, she will look much better on the redcarpet.

simple black pumps would have fared better, to cut the shimmer. a ponytail for a cleaner look- it would give more milage to the dress. what else? ummm.. oh she has the berry lips just like HHC wants! girls you like?? :)))

I like this girl – how she embraces her curves. Wears clothes that work for her body n not the other round.
Also love the berry lips with the muted-gold dress.

She looks awesome from ankles up. A different pair of shoes would’ve helped improve the look.

Oh God, in your-face sequence.. why on an actress like Richa? It works for Bipasha because she has a personality to do glam, Richa should be dressed more rooted, organic and not the OTT glamorous. Also too much of makeup

      Sequins, you mean?

    2. N at | | Reply

That is just such a weird comment. So actors who do art films should were khadi and the ones who do glam roles should wear sequins? What do you wear, considering you don’t do either roles?
And just for your information, she might just be doing some commercial movies as well. You don’t know that!

      1. A + at | | Reply

One is talking about personality of the person here and not their career opportunities. Kindly scroll again to read so. The audience maybe does in some ways perceive Richa as art house, alternative and not as commercial. Such actresses are proud to be so, Tabu for instance. And such contradicting views about rooted, organic clothing you have… several respected designers in Indian follow that path – Sabyasachi, Anamika Khanna, Paromita Banerjee, Pero, A&T and so many more

      Stereotype much . ??
just coz she’s done earthy roles doesn’t mean she can’t glam it up !
