Would it make me an utterly heartless to say that she looked awful on her big day?

    Well then, heartless it is.

Ditto – speaking strictly fashion – her outfit is awful.

best wishes to the couple, but it’s sad how every outfit that Avantika wore failed to impress given that she is the bride! call me trad, but it’s best to not experiment during one’s wedding (outfit, make up, jewelry) and to simply stick with the tried and tested!

HHC< I see ur playing it very safe when it comes to Imran and his wife.. no comments on their trousseau, not even on the posts for their wedding & pre-wedding functions :)

I see that they (HHC) normally are nice to the couples who are getting married, regardless of what they’re wearing. I think its sweet of them.

Well , not true. When Sania Mirza got married , she was criticized for her wedding reception outfits.

is it jut me or anyone ele think that Avantika has been wearing similar lehengas on all her functions ?

And how daper does Imran look !

Why does she insist on draping her dupatta in this way? there are a myriad of ways to do the drape while staying conservative + aesthetically pleasing

They make a really cute couple and I wish them a happy married life. Unfortunately the material, style, length of the lehenga is such that Avantika is drowning in it. I think she finds herself more comfortable in western wear which has cuts and lines for petite women. Unfortunately most desi designers haven’t figured out how to design for petite gals..and Avantika hasn’t found her groove in Indian clothes. I do like her braided hair..it looks really cute on her and is different from the usual updo or open hair.

It’s kind of sad how this type of skirt cutting adds girth .. something less poufy would have looked better. But I guess to each their own..

She looks like one of the guests… wish she had dressed up. But hey, they both still look great!

the lehenga and the dupatta draping are making her look bigger..but am loving the color-combo of nude with bright pink..good luck to the lovely couple..

Very pretty! Love her half-saris, but the wedding one was more fabulous. I think the dupatta for this is too heavy/stiff.
Love the slight bakram-ish flare to the lehenga…very elegant.

Wishing this lovely couple the very best.

And while the colours are lovely, I wish Avantika didn’t have to drown in that dress

Love the colors and embroidery on Avantika, but the dupatta drape make her look massive at the hips!
