  1. I hate to say it but the outfits for all these wedding events have been terrible and OTT across the board (bride-to-be, groom-to-be, bride’s sister). This outfit being a perfect example. It’s got too much going on and looks overwhelming. Wish they went for designers that had heard of subtle fashion where less is in fact more and in turn not OTT and flashy looking.

    • I think this outfit is not OTT at all. It’s much simpler as compared to what so many people wear to weddings. It’s a cute, simple, youthful outfit.

      • Agreed! After seeing that Andhra wedding with most guests turning up loaded with silk/gold and diamonds, this being the brides sister is far from OTT.

        • Agreed! This is not OTT, its just perfect for your own sister’s wedding!
Btw Ahana is a pretty girl, she should come in a movie or 2, bet she can act better than most of the leading ladies ..

          • its not OTT its just plain AWful !!!

any other designer would do a better job !! This just sucks with too much stuff going on and patchwork just fitting anything anywhere…. this is not designer stuff…. even a laymen can do this crap !

Wonder whats with the sensibilities of these people !

    • oh come on! if one can’t be OTT at an indian wedding , wher can one be OTT.
Subtle fashion may not be the preference at a celebratory event!

      • Exactly, weddings are the only place where one can be OTT. As long as it’s not tacky. Ahana’s outfit is really cute and suits her as the bride’s sister.

    • My thoughts pretty much echo Shalini’s below. It is OTT IMO and of course what one sees as OTT may not be for another. That it’s tacky is another issue in itself. As for being OTT at weddings – that’s understandable if it wasn’t this tacky looking.

  2. She would have been OTT if she had worn jewelry with this outfit, I do not care for her hair or make up, but I like her outfit, it is appropriate for the event

  3. Dress is very good, the Kalamkari elevates the look. Nishka can give a lesson or two to her mom.
Just don’t like the make-up on Ahana. Terrible lipstick.

  4. Looks like they have all been partying hard! Way to go!
As for the clothes, nothing impressive.
Hema Malini would have done so much better if she wore classic kanchi sarees.

  5. The Anarkali is pretty and a very festive color.. she looks nice but does anyone else also thinks she could have avoided the
dark colored lipstick for a lighter..

  6. She looks so pretty with that flower anklet, flower bracelet and flower earrings. Just wish the eye shadow wasn’t so dark/obvious. Love the outfit and color too. So festive!

  7. What is up with all of these ugly outfits! It’s as if the Deol family is using this opportunity to show just how deserving they are of the ‘worst dressed’ title!

P&P – can you post Madhu’s outfit from the mehndi? From what I saw, her saree was great, but the pictures were not clear so I couldn’t be sure.

  8. She looks pretty & cheery.. wish the make-up was better and with so much already going on, the duppatta should have been plain & without any motifs!

  9. the peacock motif is quite differently done..:) i think the peacock or lord ganesha designs are usually the ones that can be done up in a million ways! apart from her loud eye makeup, she does look cheerful and nice!

  10. The outfit is sooo much better than what she wore at the Sangeet! That said wish she’d done her hair better. Also, what’s with those strange shoes?

  11. She appears to be the shy type…can relate much to her reluctant demeanor in the pictures; not everyone is cut out for party and playing dress up. She looks beautiful.
