Sari Style

Comment image 21

While out and about in Mumbai, Vidya was photographed in a yellow linen sari, one that she teamed with a long-sleeved kalamkari blouse. Jewelry that included a cocktail ring rounded out the actor’s look. She looked lovely.

A look like this that was once so routine with Vidya, now feels like a refreshing change of pace- what a long way she’s come! And no, you won’t hear us complain. While we’ll always love her in a sari, it’s great seeing Vidya try so many silhouettes outside of her comfort zone and have her style evolve over time.

  1. How delish does Vidya look here !!! And so true about the long way that Vidya has taken to get here, I think it’s mostly her confidence that has is making her look so fantastic these days. She seems so sure of herself and at ease during her recent outings.Earlier even when she was in a saree , there was something about her that made it look like she was so self-conscious and not quite herself (yes even in pics)

  2. OMG! She looks stunning, head to toe. Hair, makeup, jewelry, saree with the beautiful blouse, and that too draped properly. Just perfection, I’m completely in awe. My most favorite look of hers.

  3. Beautiful she looks, I always feel her stylist is clueless about what works for her… majority of the time they make her look stuffy , what looks beautiful on her are minimalistic handloom sarees with classic blouses, just like the one above … she doesn’t need anything else …God how I wish I could source sarees for her

  4. Goddess! What a difference can a strong personality make when it comes to sartorial choices! I am totally looking past the creases on sari given how comfortable and at ease she looks in the pastel shade summer perfect sari.

  5. So refreshing! That smile and confidence are Vidya’s adornments. No overload of chunky jewelry, severe hair, heavy makeup, Holding my breath poses. Such summer light, airy colors.

  6. Very nice, when she dresses like her personality she looks great

What is the length of this saree (and of other sarees worn by celebs these days)? Even after the usual pleats, the pallu falls to the ground. In this case it could be that the blouse piece wasn’t cut out, so the saree is 6m, but after the photoshoots, how do they walk around with all this trailing fabric? I’m imagining a small pageboy/girl holding the train.

  7. Vidya is beautiful and has electrifying facial expressions. Love most of her sarees – not this one. It literally looks like she’s coming a long way( walking) in this saree – why is it looking so distressed?

  8. She is looking radiant these days. She’s one of the stars who seems to have found her fashion groove post covid. I watched some of her instagram reels and they are mostly silly jokes but she totally owns the comedy and seems like she’s having a ton of fun. I love this look so much, linen and kalamkari, this is such a dream combination. More like this please.

  9. Hi! Sorry, just wanted to say what a long way you and us the readers have come. This blog has matured in realising personal style over trends, comfort over chic and appreciative of one’s signatures. Whether it be Vidya or disha. Just wanted to put it here.
