  1. Wow, I almost didnt recognize Madhuri in the 1st set of pictures! I love that she changed her hair. Wish she had avoided the clunky neck piece but she still looks radiant.

  2. Raveena does look lovely for a change! Red really looks good on her. The neckpiece Madhuri’s wearing looks familiar… can someone ID the jewelry designer?

  3. Dear vidya,
please do change this look for a while. you are not yet a jayabachhan/ kirron kher where wearing saree is your only elegant option. you are so beautiful, now wear something that makes you look younger, this look has become a routine now.

i love ravina’s saree( esp the blouse), have been thinking to get something like this from a long time.

madhuri’s attire and the necklace are very good. but not together.

  4. I am a sucker for traditional saris so Vidya is my no. 1 I also liked Raveena’s sari and her entire look, did not much care for Madhuri’s sari nor her neck piece!

  5. Raveena all the way. I love her blouse..

Madhuri .. yet again a very dated look

Vidya.. we need a break from this look. Predictable is an understatement. Can someone pls suggest a different look. Sabya seems to have run out of ideas for her !

  6. from all the comments on vidya’s posts it looks like :

    chiffon/transparent sarees/bling/skimpy blouses/one boob show = looking young

    traditional sliks/cottons + regular sleeved blouses + regular drape = dressing up like grandmother/jaya bachchan/rekha/kiron kher ……..

why cant we be proud of our traditional weaves ??? from these posts only, you can make out how much pressure Vidya mus be getting to fall in asembly line and dress like kareena/deepika/priyanka
I salute Ms Balan for daring to be different despite the peer pressure ..
and most of the times, she looks pretty darn good !!!!

      • i agree with you:)
but just wearing a traditional saree and a big bindi ‘always’, doesnot mean you look good/ you respect out tradition. (you’ll agree with me if you see her in charecter appearences for dirty citure shows that she doesn’t shy away from the show)

but the point is you gotta ocassionaly change it up a bit, looking young never gets spoiled by a traditional saree and good drape.
see nayan tara in the recent posts.
vidya was very much like that at the start of her saree stream, where i just loooooooovvvvvved her.

  7. Ravs looks ravishing! Vidya looks beautiful and I like the sari, but I agree with other HHC readers, she needs to switch it up a bit!!! I love Madz but eeks, the sari is tacky….ombre grey and white with a maroon blouse?!?

  8. Its madhuri people.. no one wears traditional outfit better then her.. and give her any traditional outfit n she carries it off.. lover her change of hairstyle..

    Way to go MADHURi..

As for Raveena.. because the carpet is red it just looks too much red and yes vidya needs to come out of it.. she just clads a sari and that doesn’t do it.

  9. Almost didn’t recognise Madhuri. She aged the moment she put her hair up, although hair up is a pleasant change from her standard style.
Her taste however hasn’t improved and neither has Raveeena’s. Two beautiful women in tacky sarees.
Love Vidya’s classic grace although I’m not so hot on this particular shade of bronze. Gotta agree with M in the comments who says that it can’t be easy for her to withstand the pressure to bling it up. Hopefully the love of a few of us will keep her on the straight and not so narrow!

And what is with Raveena’s fake pout and sucked in cheeks? She has such perfect bone structure, why does she need to do that?

  10. I love Vidya’s sari. Raveena’s sari is way too red and the red blouse is not helping either. Madhuri is still stuck in the 80s, no matter what she wears or does to her hair.
