In Sabyasachi
Giving the heavy silks a miss, Vidya attended the recent Awards night in a cotton Sabya sari and Amrapali earrings. She looked great!

Vidya is back.. Massive love.. Such a simple sari.. But the woman shines thru…
Dont like the bunched up pleats on her stomach, either she is hiding flab or a baby, the last pic shows the mess around her abs.
I wonder if her arm got tired, holding the pallu like that!
my hand feels tired just looking at the pics
LOL!
I was just going to comment on her left arm! It’s in the SAME pose every single time.
Love the sari and the earrings are just awesome with the hairstyle. She does look good.
Vidya looks nice. Love the colour of the sari and the earrings.
Now, if she would only pick a different pattern for her blouse once in a while…
Yes, that neckline doesn’t do her any service!! How come, when Rani, Sridevi, Anushka wears Sabyasachi their blouses look perfect and Vidya’s look like badly stitched ones from the local darzi??
Also, what’s with the rudraksh like bead-bracelet she wears with all her sarees?!
Has anyone else noticed that in all her recent appearances, her blouse pattern is the same?
this neckline is called the “matka” cut (shaped like a matka from the neck) or the courtesan cut … frankly i feel it does not suit her .. makes her look broader …
Meh.
allah kasam i am not making this up – i have the same handloom sari but without the sabya trademark border. bought it years ago from a shop in kolkata. this reminds me, i should go dig it up.
+1.. My mom, grand mom have these Sarees without designer names thanks to Goriahata n college street
Vidya looks lovely. Adore the saree and those earrings. Wish she would wear some bangles.
How real and personal. It’s great to repeat a style, for instance her blouse neckline pattern. It’s strength of mind to show that ‘I believe in what I am doing’. Vidya is a woman with grace, she will be remembered much longer than her contemporaries because she maintains a certain individuality and rootedness.
After the last few not so great appearances she is back to looking lovely! And those earrings are fab
What beautiful earrings. Want them like now!
Major props for adding those earrings, it clearly pushed her out of the “amma” dressing she does. If only she would continue to accessorize more like that.
That looks more like a sari from big bazaar, why does she dress like a ghati
How rude and elitist!
how Rude!!!!!!!!! PnP should block your IP address from ever visiting this site.
A classic case of people who don’t understand that handloom is what all real designers take inspiration from and whose design sensibilities are warped by “designer sarees”
Ouch! that was such a severe comment and in such bad taste…disgusting!!
And what is wrong with the way a Ghati woman dresses??
Oh god, the last pic, the make up and the severe eyebrows. The hand pose. FAIL!
The hand pose is seriously painful to look at. Why does she stick it out so much?
namaste aunty.
pretty
pretty cotton sari but a bit too casual for the occasion. for all those who are wondering the arm pose is probably to prop up the girls.jk.
