Perhaps, she heard us because, of late, Ms. Balan has been giving us a whole lotta color. But, while we hated the less floral yellow outfit, loved the more floral angrakha outfit. Which outfit do you prefer?

On an aside, don’t Vidya’s bindis wanna make you hum ‘Bindiya Chamkegi…’. 😛

Anarkali Anarchy

The anarkali may have gone shorter but that’s about it. (Okay so it’s an angrakha of sorts but it’s such a throwback to the anarkali!) Vidya is sticking to her comfort zone and there’s no two ways about it. Which really isn’t such a bad thing except this particular outfit does her no favors.

And what’s with the strange pattern mish-mash on the kurta. There’s patchwork that’s integral to the design and then there is let’s-sow-some-pieces/patterns-on-as-an-afterthought.

P.S: The Marie Claire shoot with Vidya has been styled by Sabyasachi.

P.P.S: How lovely does Ms. Balan look in her close-ups?!! Now if only her clothes could catch up. 😛

Yet Another Day, Yet Another Anarkali

The baby steps are going in the right direction because Vidya gives us more color at the Dabur event. The rusty red looks great on her but I don’t quite like the Anarkali itself. The gherao seems to be a bit off and it doesn’t fall well on her like a good Anarkali should and the bust tailoring is too awkward for me.
