In Target: Cheap And Chic

Let’s face it, not everyone can afford the $$$$$ Balmain jackets, and so thank God for Target who introduced a cheaper version! It did come as a surprise though to have spotted Sonam sporting it or something that remarkably looks like the Target Go International bandleader vest and, if that is what she is wearing, then yayy… she (or her stylist) shops at Target. 😀

Kim Kardashian too was spotted in the very vest but gotta say, Sonam wore it better. Hands-down. It would’ve been even better had she (Sonam) opted for a sleeveless tee/tank but as it stands, she totally works the look.

Per Sonam’s tweet: She says the vest is from Intermix, but considering Intermix sells different brands, we wonder if they also scooped up the Go International vest like Target.

They both wear the same Fall 2009 Ferragamo gown with hand gloves on their respective cover, but the similarity between Sonam and Mugdha stops right there. Sonam wears straight hair with red lips while Mugdha has more of a punk rock do. Question is, which cover do you prefer more?

You’ve all probably seen Filmfare’s latest April cover featuring Waheeda, Hema, Rekha, Sonam, Deepika and the Kapoor sisters. Although, it looks like everyone’s image was superimposed, the ladies all shot together (see inside). Am guessing, logistically, getting everyone together was such nightmare, nobody gave two hoots about styling. How else can we explain the blue bangles on Deepika, the lackluster saris on Hema and Waheeda, and that gown on Karisma!

While Sonam went long in a blue jumpsuit, Malaika went short in a blue romper at Twinkle Khanna’s new launch event.

If Malaika had on a smaller bag instead of the big one, I might have said both but looking at the two, am gravitating more towards Sonam on this. What about you?
