Of Wedding Festivities

Day two of the mbani/Merchant pre-wedding festivities saw Ms. Kapoor first in an Antar-Agni drape shirt and pant combo paired with a Dior Saddle bag and emerald jewellery. Emeralds played a role again for the evening event where she opted for white again in an Anamika Khanna lehenga and layered diamond and emerald necklaces.

I don’t know what’s happening but Rhea’s styling picks for her sis aren’t quite landing well anymore. In both cases, while the jewels were delish, they didn’t quite work with both outfits in question.

In Amir Al Kasm

Sonam was seen at the cocktail evening soiree in a gown from Amir Al Kasm, one that she paired with a diamond choker and diamond jhumkis. Between that drop waist and cocoon-ish design, I wasn’t really a fan of the gown itself. And the diamond jhumkis, a way to add an desi element to it was possibly the idea, wasn’t really working here.

In Reik

The Ambani wedding festivities have started and on Friday, Sonam arrived at Jamnagar wearing a full-length denim coat from Reik with sloucy denims. I’d talk about the coat but am just so distracted by the terrible denim fit at the crotch.

In Twos

Sonam attended a talk session in Delhi wearing a floral Rajesh Pratap Singh kurta and pant set with silver earrings. It was a whole lotta of print but I really liked. Having said that, the print on print also reminded me a lot of Richard Quinn‘s works.

While travelling to the capital, she wore a Camila Coelho strapless top, skirt and coat set paired with her Hermès Birkin. The top slouching wasn’t making for an effective look.

In HariTHanD

At a book launch in Delhi, Sonam was spotted wearing a long coat/pant set from Lebanese label, HariTHanD. Diamond/emerald ear cuffs, a Gucci small Diana tote and white boots finished out her look.

For a book launch, this outfit to me felt quite overkill, but that’s me. Did you like?
