The Cannes red carpet is not one for half measures and delivering on that from the word go was Sonam Kapoor who was photographed at Mumbai airport en route to France. In her Elie Saab jacket, crisp white shirt and black pants, Sonam cut an interesting picture. Braided hair, Tod’s loafers and an Elie Saab bag finished out the look.

For a L’Oréal event, Sonam picked an Elie Saab Couture dress. Wearing the full-skirted strapless dress with ankle-strap pumps that the dress was presented with on the runway, Sonam cut a pretty picture. It’s a silhouette we’ve seen her favor repeatedly but no denying, she wears the sparkly dress well; can’t fault a thing here!

Among the final round of celebs departing for IIFA today in Mumbai, we also spotted Sonam who was headed to a vacation of her own (and not IIFA). Her travel outfit consisted of a yellow Dolce & Gabbana dress that she wore with a white cardigan and a pink blazer (yep, the last two had us scratching our heads).

Finishing out the look were flats and a Givenchy Antigona bag.

In Delhi for an art event, Sonam picked a very striking sari from Rimzim Dadu’s latest collection. With her hair in a knot, gorgeous Suhani Pittie earrings and a Prada clutch finished out her look.

The shredded, texture-rich, treated chiffon sari might not be everyone’s cup of tea but we are happy to see it worn off the runway and outside of an editorial. Like most of her appearances lately have been, we are sure this look of Sonam’s is going to be extremely polarizing… So which side of the fence are you on, like it or not?
