In Sabyasachi

At an event on Friday where she received an award by the Italian Consulate, Deepika was seen wearing a striped red sari paired with a black full-sleeve blouse and a white tiger crest belt, all from Sabyasachi.

In theory, I should love this right away. I do love the sari and I love that belt. But, something was amiss and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I think considering the full sleeved blouse, the sari didn’t really need the belt as well.

What say you? Love it as is?

In Lanvin

Deepika participated in one of the Fortune India Most Powerful Women Summit on Friday wearing a Lanvin look with nude Louboutin pumps.

Sure she looked good in the white suit but who else is ready for different hairdos on her.

A Family Affair

At the opening of India Open 2018 where her dad Prakash was felicitated with a lifetime achievement award, Deepika and mom Ujjala were seen wearing Sabyasachi saris and sister Anisha in a cream Faabiiana lehenga.

They all looked great!

In Sabyasachi

Another day and it was another Sabyasachi for Ms. Padukone who wore an green sharara while attending promotions for Padmaavat at a local eatery.

Considering I have loved this sharara ever since I first saw it showcased on the designer’s profile, I may be a bit biased here in loving this look instantly.

Sari Style

At the HT Most Stylish Awards, Deepika was seen in a sari gifted to her by Rekha paired with a gold choker, smoky eyes and a tight bun.

In a way Ms. Padukone sure threw us a curveball by opting for a non-designer sari and she did look lovely. But having said that, the look also felt very Sabyasachi. All that was missing was his signature embroidered border on the sari and that black bindi. 😉

P.S. This isn’t the first time we are seeing her in this sari. She wore it to her friend’s wedding paired with the same jewellery a few months ago.
