I’ll admit, at first glance, I felt that this pink Isabel Sanchis gown with its ball-gown like skirt overwhelmed Alia. But, the more I look at her pics, there was such a sweet disposition about this look that it eventually won me over.

Her outfit felt like she just walked off a Princess Diaries set and she’s just missing her tiara.

Giving us our first ever Rosie Assoulin sighting today was Sonam at Filmfare’s press meet announcing their first-ever Glamour and Style Awards. Wearing the strapless gown with white Blahniks, she finished out the look with a sleek hairdo. It was a glamourous and stylish look and perfect for the occasion.

Later in the evening, the cocktail party celebrating the launch of a sleepwear label, saw her in a black Ashi Studio. The custom gown was paired with a necklace from Shruti Sushma Fine Jewellery, a black Bottega Veneta clutch and lace Louboutin pumps. She did look fabulous here but in my mind I can’t help but think that perhaps the look was a bit too formal for the event in question. Whatever happened to the good ole’ cocktail dress? And no, I don’t mean a Léger! 😛

It was Anamika Khanna for Sonam while at the Filmfare Awards. Wearing her hair back, she finished out the look with matching ankle-strap sandals and some gorgeous Sunita Kapoor Signature Line jewelry. No one quite wears the designer like Sonam does and this look was no exception either; she owned the look. But, and there’s a but… Wish she hadn’t found the need to add a choker to the look. The other two necklace did the job just fine on their own!

While in Jaipur, Sonam gave us two very different looks first doing different shades of pink in Dior and then doing a classic black and white look in an Elie Saab suit.

Barring those satin pumps, loved the Dior look. It was super cute and ultra feminine. The Saab look was nice but I would’ve preferred a stiff turtle neck vs the one that she had on. And even with the bold red lip, her eyes still looked tired which made the overall look feel a bit dull.

Of Promotions: Part Deux

From an all-black look on day one in Antar Agni separates, Sonam gave us a completely different one on day two in Vivek Karunakaran. While she seemed to have fun with the skirt, can’t say we were fans of the latter look and mostly because of the hairdo.

Even though those skirt/pants aren’t my cup of tea, she wore that look better. Love those Suhani Pittie ear cuffs.
