Thanks to her latest movie (and its promotions), we’ve had a steady stream of Kajol sightings lately. She was recently photographed in a red macrame Shivan & Narresh sari and a printed maxi dress by Punit Balana.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the sari and its blouse. And the way the pallu was just pooling on the floor didn’t help either! Of the two appearances, much prefer the dress on her; Kajol looked nice. I only wish she had skipped those red bangles which made for too stark a contrast and looked rather forced. I understand that Red has been the theme this promo tour with Kajol exclusively dressing in red-toned clothes, but forcing the color on to a look that didn’t need it was a bummer.

Wearing AK-OK, Kajol attended a book launch in Mumbai last evening. Silver jewelry and metallic ankle-strap sandals rounded out the look well; she looked nice!

It was red saris back to back for Kajol, first in a Kapardara paired with red bangles and then in an Anjul Bhandari paired with a polki necklace. Loved her in the Bhandari.

In Raw Mango

Kajol visited the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh pandal on Monday and was seen wearing a Raw Mango sari with a choker necklace complete with a mogra in the hair. Since she was going to be barefoot most of the way, the footwear wasn’t a detail she kept in mind, so am going to give it a pass here. The green contrast bangles though seemed too jarring here. I personally would’ve preferred yellow bangles as well.

Wearing Aroka, Shefali helped promote her latest movie in Mumbai. It’s an interesting silhouette (a center-seam ruched skirt isn’t one that I gravitate to normally) and Shefali made it work for her.
