In Raw Mango

Kajol visited the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh pandal on Monday and was seen wearing a Raw Mango sari with a choker necklace complete with a mogra in the hair. Since she was going to be barefoot most of the way, the footwear wasn’t a detail she kept in mind, so am going to give it a pass here. The green contrast bangles though seemed too jarring here. I personally would’ve preferred yellow bangles as well.

Green bangles are actuallly a traditional thing to wear in Marathi culture. Indicating a married woman. Red when the husband passes away. Not really followed these days except for traditional events i guess..

Green glass bangles are worn by many married women in Maharashtra. It’s called Hirva Chooda I think.
Green bangles are ‘culture’ thing in Maharashtra, if I am not mistaken, just like shankha-pola (pardon me in case of spelling mistake) in Bengal. I, infact like the contrast of green bangles on yellow saree. Adding a nice colour pop. 🙂
For reals, are we rating temple footwear now? ??Scratches head. That has got to be the nit pickiest….
I miss those days when we used to worry about chappals being stolen outside the mandir.
I so love seeing a big star wear normal practical non fashionable chappals.
Blouse fitting is a bit off but she looks very pretty . Easy one to replicate even without the raw mango priced saree .
