As she does every year, Mallika also walked the red carpet on the opening night of Cannes wearing Georges Hobeika. The pale pink gown featured white beads may not have been a standout one but she still looked nice. Adding that deep berry lip helped.

If you’ve followed Ms. Sherawat’s Cannes journey over the years, you know this is a very very toned down look!

In Mumbai after ages, Mallika caught up with designer Anita Dongre for a bite and was spotted wearing a gorgeous Chanel tweed jacket with a Chanel flap bag. If she’d worn pumps, I would have loved this look. Do not like those vampy pointed boots with the jacket, one bit.

Mallika attended the amfAR gala wearing a lavender colored Georges Hobeika gown. A Hobeika the gown may have been, but between that sheer neckline and the embroidery, the gown itself looked rather tacktastic. Not helping was that poofy ponytail do that did not do Ms. Sherawat any favors either.

Oh Ms. Sherawat, just when you were having a good run, why did you have to go mess it up.

Wearing a Pucci gown, Mallika attended the Harmonist Cocktail party at Cannes on Monday evening. Can’t say am a fan of the gown itself, especially that jersey material black skirt but she looked nice.

Keeping the look simple helped.

The 69th Cannes Film Festival kicked off today in France and making an appearance on day one was festival regular Mallika Sherawat. At the screening of Cafe Society, Ms. Sherawat was seen in a strapless Georges Hobeika gown paired with diamond jewellery from Dessange.

I can’t say am a fan of the gown, especially the all-over striped pattern, but have to admit, Mallika did look nice. An updo would’ve been a better choice given the necklace and gown but am just glad to see her opt for more polished looks than outfits that were worn more for the shock factor.
