Maitreyi was seen in a shimmery brown gown from Valdrin Sahiti at the Gold Gala paired with black sandals. She kept it simple which was a good move.

On an aside, having seen so many variations of this fabric in different colors offered by Itrh, my first thought this gown was also by the label.

Maitreyi attended the Diwali ball in NYC wearing an Anita Dongre lehenga with gold choker and mogra in her hair. This would’ve been a good look had the choli top fit her better.

Maitreyi attended the Unforgettable Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday evening wearing Ashwin Thiyagarajan’s upcycled benarasi dress, one that we saw just a few days ago on Taapsee at the Filmfare Awards.

Screen Spotting

Never Have I Ever, a show by Mindy Kaling featuring Poorna Jagannathan and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, debuted on Netflix this Monday. Poorna, who plays the mom and is a dermatoligist in the show, wears a mix of Indian and Western clothes. What was exciting to me was spotting her wear the Payal Khandwala and Anita Dongre and of course, the saris.

Have you watched the show?

P.S. I think that is an Anita Dongre on Richa below but need to confirm.
