She made a dowdy maxi work but even all of Lara’s mad skills couldn’t save this one. Dowdy to the end paired with an even uglier LV Monogram Eclipse Alma bag. What a downer.

Spotted Lara Dutta in a Malene Birger dress at a recent event keeping it casual and fresh. The dress on it’s own doesn’t have us swooning but as usual, Lara adds so much to it and really makes it work. We like.

Considering we featured this editiorial (see here), we are quite surprised we missed this spotting! 😛
But, thanks to ‘noove’ for spotting that the dress on Ms. Z was the same Shantanu-Nikhil as the one seen on Lara. Keep those spottings coming!

At the recently held Louis Vuitton event, both Deepika and Lara stepped out in their Louis Vuitton latest… clothes, accessories et al. Considering Freida was at the same event, you think she must’ve been making a mental note of how she wore these dresses herself a while back? We can’t help but do.
When we first saw the Resort 2010 dress on Ms. Pinto at the Middle Eastern International Film Festival, we weren’t all that enthused only because it looked like she plaited her hair and then stuck ’em to the straps. The imagery was a bit of a downer. Not so on Lara… the hair is perfect and Ms. Dutta looked Hot at the event.
As for the Resort 09 dress, while we thought both Freida and Deepika wore it well, we still prefer it styled the way it was done in the Hi Blitz Apr 09 issue. The cutesy dress needed some fiercer accessories we think.
And finally, at the event in question Ms. Pinto was in a coral Fall 09 LV dress. The drape, the hue none of it quite worked. It wasn’t bad, just that it wasn’t great either. Meh.
