In Gauri and Nainika

Jacqueline attended the Colors Golden Petal Awards on Wednesday evening wearing a Gauri and Nainika ruffled gown. I will be the first one to admit that between the pattern and the design, I really wasn’t a fan of this gown when I saw it in a different color on the runway.

But, I will also be the first one to admit, that I am loving Ms. Fernandez here in this version. A lot of it has to do with the finishing touches. The cute floral Choo sandals, the whimsical wrap bracelets and the clean updo really complemented the gown well. She looked great!

Her jewellery is from Begani.

In Tarun Tahiliani

At the AsiaSpa Awards on Thursday evening, Jacqueline was seen in a fresh off the AIFW runway Tarun Tahiliani separates. While I loved the look on the runway, didn’t find the separates as impactful off of it and I think the broad corset belt has a wee bit to do with it as well as the hairdo.

The sheer skirt was going to be a tough sell and the look needed a bit more. As is, it felt too casual.

Her choker is from Swarovski and other jewellery from Aurelle.

Travel(v)ogue

While travelling to Dubai for the Dubai Cup, Jacqueline was spotted at Mumbai airport wearing a Deme fringe jacket with a Zara white crop top and Ellery ruffled denims.

Ms. Fernandez’ off-duty style has always been offbeat and this one sure checked that box. But, do we like? Not Quite. Our love was lost not at the denims but more at that fringe jacket. Does anyone really want the illusion of hair coming out of one’s arms? (I just ruined it for ya, didn’t I?)

P.S. Did you know that the Gucci bag on her here was gifted to her by Dharma Productions on the first day of shoot for Drive. Le sigh.

In Manish Malhotra

Jacqueline helped inaugurate the FICCI Frames conference/exhibition wearing a yellow Manish Malhotra sari. We’ve been seeing so many gowns of late that boy, did this simple look make for a nice change. And she sure wore the sari well.

In Hasan Hejazi

Jacqueline wore a white gown by London based label, Hasan Hejazi, to the Femina Beauty Awards on Wednesday evening. Giving the outfit some much needed color was her bold red lip. I like the idea of a plain white gown but I don’t know if I like those stark white mesh sleeves.

For her part though, Ms. Fernandez looked nice.

Her look was finished out with jewellery from Aurelle and a Christian Louboutin spiked clutch.
