Kartiki and Guneet won the Oscar for their documentary at the 2023 Oscars and it was not only great to see them win but also see them on stage in creations Made in India. Kartiki wore a Rahul Mishra gown and Guneet, an elephant motif handloom sari from Ekaya. That wasn’t the only reference to her documenaty in the outfit. Ms. Monga also wore an elephant brooch and carried a Leiber elephant minaudiere as well.

In Vaishali S

Guneet, whose documentary is nominated for an Oscar, was also at the South Asian Excellence event and was seen in a mustard color Vaishali S creation. I don’t quite like this particular design and it’s possibly more to do with the color but I do love Ms. Monga’s insistence to always wear Indian designers when at international events.

In Raw Mango

Wearing lovely Raw mango saris (and blouses), Guneet Monga and Shonali Bose attended an awards event in Mumbai recently. Like these filmmakers’ (producer and director respectively) choice of saris?
