Gauri and Tania both may have sported the vests at the Bandra 190 event but each managed to make the look very different with a few finishing touches. While the former chose a white on white color scheme with a printed vest from her Satya Paul collection, the latter chose a grey paillette vest to go with her black denims.

Between the Chanel brooches and the oversized red Tom Ford clutch, I shouldn’t quite like Tania’s look but I don’t mind it. Maybe because I like Gauri’s look even less. A sleek ponytail and Gauri would’ve won had my vote. As is though, the middle parted hairdo and the smoky eyes felt too heavy duty.

Black Was The Night

Wearing black separates with a strong red lip, navy embellished clutch and neutral peep-toe pumps, Amrita attended a soirée held in Mumbai last night. Also present at the Birthday do was Gauri, who for her appearance also picked black, a Léger which she paired with an exotic clutch. As with the former attendee, she too finished out her look with a striking red lip and peep-toe pumps. Now, of the two, it was easy to pick Amrita as the favorite. Between the tired Léger and heavy hair, Gauri didn’t really have much of a chance!

At Seema Khan’s collection launch, both Amrita and Gauri were photographed trying on her designs… For Amrita it was a silver jacket, while Gauri picked an embellished vest. Here’s hoping neither the jacket nor the vest left the studio!

Gauri and Sonali opted for Manish Malhotra saris to his niece’s sangeet ceremony and while it is always nice to see the former in a desi avatar, can’t say am a fan of her sari. The wide gold border at the bottom seemed rather odd. I wish it had a red border.

Can’t say Ms. Bendre fared any better either. If you ask me, between Gauri and her, she fared worse. The pink shimmery blouse was just awful.
