A peek into Aisha’s closet had us wishing we had one like it too. But, what’s got us wondering though is whether the Dior Mosaic clutch is the same that Sonam was photographed with in the Verve editorial. (see Here).

Haute Couture Fall 2010 shows are underway and yesterday John Galliano (of Dior) presented the “La Ligne Florale” collection which reminisced on Christian Dior‘s ‘Tulip Line collection’ from 1953.
One of the particular gowns instantly reminded us of this Archana Kochar gown presented a year back. No, this isn’t a Seeing Double edition because you can clearly see which designer took an inspiration/idea and came out with a winner instead of a dud.
This isn’t a post about discrediting Ms. Kochar, either. We know how much effort goes into a gown like that but the reason it didn’t work is because the flowers are too in your face. It doesn’t feel like inspiration any more, just replication.

It was Dior for Ira Dubey and Lisa Haydon, who also feature in ‘Aisha’. Ira wore a full-sleeve wave pattern Spring 2010 dress with gold Dior sandals (from the same season). Instead of going with the runway belt, she picked one that had a clock buckle. How cute.
Lisa combined separates from two different looks. Individually the the top and the skirt are exquisite but I am not in love with the sequin and pattern mixing. Also, her hair feels too severe and the top could use a belt. (P.S. Priyanka loves it though.)

It’s a movie we are waiting for with bated breath just for the fashion. Kinda like we did for ‘Sex and the City 2’ except lets keep our fingers crossed that it ain’t a dud like SATC2. Yep, breaks our heart to say that SATC2 was bad!
Coming back to Aisha, here’s a first look at Sonam in Dior and Depala . How fun is the first pic and how flirty yet feminine is that skirt on the Ayesha Depala gown?
