Natasha Poonawalla at the Mcdowell Indian Derby sported a fascinator! Can’t be at the races without one after all. Got to admire her committing to the look (we’ll just turn a blind eye to the sparkly yellow dress for now)!
Derby or not, could Ms. Poonawala have taken a cue from the Spring 2008 Couture shows where fascinators seemed to have been the norm?

The two really ugly bags below are part of Dior’s Spring preview and I just wish I never saw them! That gypsy bag, where does one even start? Those eyelet, cut-out ruffles spell ugly, layer after layer, ruffle after ruffle! At $1950, thats a whole lot to shell out for a prop from a bad sixties movie!
And that red/purple/yellow, multicolor abstract print shopping tote is definitely someone’s idea of sixties psychedelia gone sour and at $1290, its not a pretty shade to turn!

I have been looking at accessories of various designers’ from their Spring Ready To Wear 2008 collections and some of these ‘crazy-super-over-the-top’ shoes jumped out at me..
What do you think? See yourself in any?

Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2007 ready to wear collection did these super chunky, gladiator’esque shoes, almost invoking the inner dominatrix in a woman! And now, I notice the same sort of shoes being worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in the upcoming Sex And The City Movie! Do I smell a trend?
Oh, and incidentally, the shoes that SJP is wearing are Christian Dior’s! And if you fancy a pair, found one on Ebay, take a look!
