Two different events saw Ms. Rao do desi in SVA. For the Satyagraha promotions it was a sleeveless parrot green suit while a store opening saw her in a cobalt blue one.

Even though the latter stood out because the color, it was the green one that was preferable because of the finishing touches.

For the IIFAs, Amrita picked a strapless embellished Jade Innana gown. One which we weren’t big on. Does absolutely nothing for Amrita! Instead of standing out as a welcome bit of contrast, the nail and lip color only made the gown seem even more drab. And don’t even get us started on the hair. She could do better, way better!

P.S: Anyone else reminded of the Rachel Gilbert gown on Anushka? Just us?

In a full-skirted Inanna by Karishma and Monica dress, Amrita attended the trailer launch of her movie. Picking up on the belted waist, black Steve Madden pumps completed her look.

The dress needed to be just a couple of inches longer… The length as is, was just a tad too frock like. Also, it’d be nice to see Amrita do something different with her hair every now and then. But, A for effort.

Doing Casual

The cast of Jolly LLB celebrated with a success bash and we’ll admit we were a lil’ apprehensive about what we’d see Amrita in. She surprised us, in a good way, by doing casual in black denims, coral top and a bouclé jacket by Mango.

We’ll take her this appearance over the bad desi outfits any day!
