Wearing saris, both Shweta and Genelia attended a Gala in Mumbai recently. Shweta teamed her Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari with a matching potli, emerald jewelry and pair of metallic jootis. And Genelia teamed her Sunaina Khera sari with matching sandals and a Bottega Veneta clutch.

It was good to see saris on the red carpet, but can’t say was a big fan of Genelia’s look. Had no complaints with Shweta’s however; she cut a striking picture.

Don’t hold your breath, Shweta picked an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla outfit for her appearance at the Vogue ‘Power List’ event. What did surprise us though, even the statuesque Ms. Bachchan couldn’t make the look work.

Between the intricate hand-embroidered coat, the tulle bodysuit and the sequin trousers, neither did one single element stand out nor did they all come together to make one impactful look. The separates seemed to both overwhelm the wearer and underwhelm when it came to overall effect.

Not one of Shweta’s better outings this.

Priyanka attended the Marrakech Film Festival on Thursday first making an appearance at a press meet in a white Prabal Gurung pantsuit and then in a shimmery Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari in the evening.

Given that the suit was a bit off-white, I wish she hadn’t worn the stark white cami top with it. The shoulders also looked a bit boxy on her. As for the sari, it ain’t my cup of tea but she gets points from me for wearing one.

Back in Mumbai, Sara was photographed wearing a Gulabo By Abu Sandeep suit as she was leaving the airport. A chunky silver ring and orange jootis were among her accessories of choice. She looked nice.
