Wearing saris, both Shweta and Genelia attended a Gala in Mumbai recently. Shweta teamed her Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari with a matching potli, emerald jewelry and pair of metallic jootis. And Genelia teamed her Sunaina Khera sari with matching sandals and a Bottega Veneta clutch.
It was good to see saris on the red carpet, but can’t say was a big fan of Genelia’s look. Had no complaints with Shweta’s however; she cut a striking picture.

Shwetha saree event inappropriate!!
somehow bandini just doesn’t go with strapless.. ruining the look
Are you kidding me?! Genelia looks absolutely lovely and event appropriate! Shwetha looks okay. It’s an art event but she is dressed up for a Mehandhi (her own).
I like Genelia’s sari and her makeup. She looks sweet. Simple understated look. Got a moment I thought her saree is Manish malhotra. I like Shweta’s sari but not the styling. That blouse pairing. Not at all.
Both look great…shwetha in her statuesque way and genelia in a cute way. But both their blouses are wrong for the event in question.
Genelia never stops smiling… she comes across as genuine, no matter what she is wearing. The saree is lovely, Parveen Babi used to wear these in the 1970s AB movies Sigh!
It also reminds me of all of Rekha’s saree looks in Silsila!
genelia is always radiant and glowing,I never noticed her this much during her younger days
I infact like Genelia’s look more than Shweta here .. it’s so simple yet very classy elegant.

Love Genelia here. The drape is decent. Shweta is a big no no. That strapless blouse should be left forever. I always wonder if she gets free clothes from Abu Sandeep duo. Why nothing else ever?? And what is so designer about the sari? Anyhow .. will never know
Both women look lovely, and I like both sarees. Shweta’s strapless blouse works well with the heavy saree. It’s modern, clean and still very classy. A regular sleeved blouse might’ve been too much. The earrings could also have been gold toned, imo. Genelia also looks great, though I wish the blouse straps were wider, and the pleats neater.
I am sure you got the names mixed up.. Genelia looks striking. Shweta looks like she has come from KKKG movie sets!
What’s really bothering me is the bit of plain red that is visible in Shweta’s sari before the pleats start. This sari probably costs a bomb so why did the designer skimp?? At this price point I would expect the baandhani to extend all the way. As it is, this looks really cheap to me.

Genelia looks radiant though the look could have been tidier with proper pleats but Shweta…Seriously! The saree looks some cheap knock off from some shady online website…And blouse a desperate attempt to make knock off look designer & expensive….My Mom & her friends have way better Bandhni sarees bought from ordinary stores in Jaipur…

Genelia looks lovely even though I dont care for the sari. I like Shwetha’s sari but not the way she has worn or styled it. Her style has been bordering on trashy recently. I don’t know what it is but I feel she has been trying too hard.
