Mallika attended the screening of Macbeth today at Cannes in another Georges Hobeika gown. The metallic blue gown with its dramatic train may have seemed like it was strapless but it featured an illusion mesh neck.

Her first Hobeika might not have worked, but Ms. Sherawat sure got it right in her second one. Soft wavy curls that didn’t quite compete with the Boucheron jewellery made this look quite a winner. She looked good.

Mallika also attended the amfAR gala on Thursday evening wearing a white Georges Hobeika gown with jewellery from Boucheron. Can’t say I was a fan of the gown but what made the look worse was that hairdo. A simple updo was the way to go here.

But, then the gown too had its faults. The leaf shaped jewelled bodice not only was bad but also made her look so much bigger than she is.

For the amfAR gala, it was another Elie Saab for Aishwarya, this time one from the Spring 2014 Couture collection. As you’ll notice, her version is missing the belt and the train and while it may not have been high on drama (well compared to yesterday’s outing), it was definitely dreamy.

The look was feminine and the color rather romantic but I think I would’ve preferred it if instead of the matching eye-shadow, L’Oréal had gone for a green palette to highlight her eyes.

She looked gorgeous, nevertheless.

We had another sari sighting on the red carpet today at the screening of ‘Dheepan’ where leading lady Kalieaswari was seen in a traditional blue one. The sari look was lovely but the gold cuff felt a bit excessive and a bit distracting.

Earlier in the day at the photocall, she sported a super chic look in a black dress, black booties and an edgy wavy hairdo. The two completely different looks almost made me wonder, if it was in fact the same person at both events.

P.S. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe this is her first movie.

It was quite a pink night on Wednesday at Cannes. We had two gown looks and the screening of Youth and we also two sari looks, but this was at the screening of ‘Shan He Gu Ren’.

In her Raw Mango sari with the updo and bindi, Vishakha looked beautiful. As for the other pink sighting, the less said the better. See inside why.
