It was damask print black dresses for Sushma and Shonali at their respective events. Not the kind of dresses we’d be drawn to, but if we had to pick, it would be Shonali’s. Sushma’s felt much too tween’ish. Prefer either or neither?

  1. strangely i think shonali’s is more tweensy with the off the shoulder thingee

sushma’s is cute and something i’d definitely wear

i also much prefer her smile to that ridiculous pouty pose

  2. OOoh. Sorry.

I think Shonali’s looks like a tunic that she decided to go sans pants. Looks incomplete to me.

Also, the whole popping off the shoulder thing.. not neat. The sleeves are not made for that. dumb.

AND I think her lovely curly hair saved her. Takes the eyes off the rest of the mess for a second.

  3. this is such a “lokhandwala” typie print! every “western wear” shop in lokhandwala has been retailing a thousand permutations combinations of this print/ style in black over white, white over black. white over navy that i’m surpred these ladies chose this to wear!!

  4. I’m not sure if you know already, but Sushma’s is BCBG Max Azria from a few seasons ago.
Personally, I think it looks very inexpensive. So not BCBG worthy.

  5. Shonali’s has that oomph and she wears it with attitude. Then again, can she walk up stairs in that length? Leggings would be a good idea. I don’t like Sushma’s wash n wear hairstyle.
