Keeping It Simple
While out in the city recently, both Sonal and Dia were spotted keeping things easy and fuss-free in their printed kurtas (tunics) and white pants. Both ladies wore their off-duty look well but it was Dia’s outfit that I liked just a wee bit more.

These wide legged pants and kurta reminds me of those women wearing saree petticoat and kurta at home and go about their household chores. The reference is drawn from my childhood memories where I used to see these aunties ( that’s what we call all the neighbor ladies) buy vegetables from the pushcart subziwala in this petticoat-kurta attire. And it’s fashion now. Our women knew it much before 😉 😉
Yes. This trend needs to die. Doesn’t look good on anyone. A little narrower bottom looks so much better.
Sad that we’ve reached a stage of giving a disclaimer for everything to avoid offending someone or the other over social media 🙂
@Ginie you’re bang on… In Maharashtra it was common to see girls dressed in a kurta and saree petticoat at home. We used to frown down on it…. And lo behold, it’s now fashion!!!! 🙂 Who’d have thought?
Lol. True. It always reminds me of my Mom when she used to return from her school, remove her saree n put kurta over petticoat, before changing into salwar.
Dia looks ethereal
Pretty. But how to wear white in the rains and still keep it spotless!!!
Sonal is in Biba kurta
White bottoms on the monsoon drenched roads of Mumbai…aiyaiyai!
diya always looks good in anything she wears, fresh and fuss free! What a beauty
Agree on the saree petticoat look but have you ever tried this? It is so darn comfortable… i hope it never goes out of fashion.
