No surprises here, Shweta attended Abu Sandeep’s anniversary show wearing an outfit by the designer duo. Bindi in place, she rounded out her look with metallic sandals, a matching potli and diamond and emerald earrings. Yes, that’s a lot of gota to take in but whether the outfit is your cup of tea or not, it’s got to be said, Shweta fared better than most others would in it. She looked striking.

That is one hideous outfit
Can’t make out where the top ends and where the pants begin but I’m quite liking the outfit. A lot of gold but tastefully done. The only thing I don’t like is the cutout(?) near the neckline. With already so much happening, should have skipped it.
There’s so much going on & that side slit is the cherry on the sloppy amateur cake that fell off the kitchen counter.
P.s. If not the blurb, then the last 2 sentences are always dead giveaways on who wrote the post.
I know its your blog & stuff but wish Priyanka would give a more descript opinion on what she did & didn’t like.
“Fared better in it than most” is such a cop out.
One that users often don’t agree with.
that’s too much gold. she didn’t fare better herself either – the phrase you use ‘fared better than most others would in it’ is sounding less authentic, off late 🙁 also, i wouldn’t have spotted the ‘potli’ had you not mentioned it in the write up. that’s how crowded the whole outfit is!
Something about her height has always made her statuesque and able to carry lots of fabric, even if the fabric looks daunting. I think the emerald earrings are a nice touch. Although twinkles emeralds still are my fave
I don’t know which way to look: horizontal lines, chevron, the diagonal angle at which the dupatta is thrown. This is such an eyesore.
The stiffness of this outfit is making me uncomfortable just looking at it.
Whereas many creative designers strive to bring movement to the fabric, AJSK do their best to immobilize the fabric. This could as well me cardboard.
Somehow only she manages to salvage AJ-SK outfits, with Twinkle Khanna helping out occasionally. But even she can’t help this thing. What is it about AJ-SK and MM that they have such traction with the Bollywood crowd? I am sure I am missing an entire business model here.
What the heck is this outfit? The gota got my goat.
That feeling when you are at the gotta , lace etc shop in India and the sales guy shows you all the different kinds of gotta they have ……….

So much of Gota that my eyes are burning. Having said that, it worked on her. Wish she pulled her hair back in a low knot and avoided danglers.
Soft spot for shweta!? On Aish or Twinkle this must have got criticized by u… gota fest gotto end.
