For her book launch, Shweta chose to team a Chloe top and pair of denims with a black tuxedo jacket. She made the separates work for her. Incidentally, the look reminded me of her appearance from another book launch held last year- she was spotted in a white top, denims and a tuxedo jacket that time too.

That hair color has to go. Its so brassy on her. Also why is she a style icon? i never thought her to be one. She follows the cookie cutter look and really never impressed me with her outfits . When Monisha Jaising teamed up with her, i knew it was just another name added to sell her stuff. Wish Bollywood would stop promoting people for their family names and lineage and talk about people who have the talent and X factor in them to stand out.
Who says she is a style icon?
After HHC wrote about that Rohit Bal/Shahab Durazi post expected them to diversify what they post. But it’s the same old – the big names and movie promotions, the standard set of actresses, people famous for being children of the famous. Maybe it gets eyeballs and money but it’s really a sea of mediocrity sporting labels.
I think she is very elegant and understands what looks good on her. Why should she be punished or looked down because she is born into a well known family?
No one slams Natasha poonawalla for wearing those outlandish / expensive clothes. what has she done in life?
not a fair comparison. Natasha Poonawalla is mostly seen only at social events. Unlike Shweta here who has launched books, a disastrous “design” line, appeared in advertisements – with only her fathers name to claim. No one is looking down on her for being XYZ’s daughter, but for her constant attempts to be in the spotlight and earn moolah off that surname.
I really dislike the over abundance of button on her denims in the top row photos. The bottom row white shirt/black jacket look reminds me of Amitabh Bachchan’s outfit from Jumma Chumma De De 🙂
So her own “brand” isn’t good enough for her to wear?
WELL SAID! Her own brand sells for Rs. 25,000 for a teeshirt… Rs. 61,000 for a summer dress and such.
I totally believe when Bollywood stands up for a cause like poverty and homelessness 😛
