In Sameer Madan
It’s no secret that Ms. Haasan loves black so it isn’t a surprise that we saw her in a black gown at Filmfare Middle East’s Achievers night that took place in Dubai. Except, between the puffy shoulder and the two tone material on the sleeve, it was just really hard to like the gown itself. Just a strapless version of this would’ve been so much better.
What say you?

With all the designers who offer freebies and the best stylists it’s hard to believe you can go wrong so many times..I know she’s into the gothic look but event wise this is so boring and a complete miss..btw at first glance I thought it was a “Maleficent” costume !
My feeling is she’s so into halloween with this outfit
Can we get a WTHeyyy please!
She is like an overgrown teenager who is forever stuck in this goth phase.
Happy Halloween?
Maleficent IRL?
Eye make up, bag and outfit aside Shruti looks ok
It’s so dated I can’t tell which era the gown time travelled.. like a 80s cleopatra or something.
Black is the easiest to dress up in, load shit options, getting a black outfit wrong is difficult.
’tis the Halloween szn. Statue of Liberty x Goth.
Came here to say this! Too costumy
And I can’t help thinking of Statue of Liberty’s headpiece while seeing Shruti’s:)
Ms. Hassan was going for a Halloween party and decided to attend the awards instead.
Think she looked fab! And true to her style!
This the goth version of the statue of Liberty. She has the sass but I am not liking it.
I think the dress would have been fine without the ruffle hem. A straight sheath type dress would have worked. Kudos to this lady for sticking to her personal aesthetic and sense of style (even though it may be out there for some folk). Give me this any day over the cookie cutter, no personality/sense of style/fashion slave/brand brigade!!
puffy sleeves, headpiece makes this such a miss.
Cruella devil meets Maleficent
Ladies.. this isnt the Met Gala!
What happened to the gold old days of elegant beautiful saris and flowing gowns at Filmfare?
