Marshana Goes Indian Again!

I am addicted to the show, “The Bachelor”. I love seeing the women go from swooning over the guy one minute to hating him to the core the moment they are cut. It is just such a funny show! This season has been a tad bit more inneresting though.

Marshana, one of the ladies, has been sporting Indian attire and jewelry since the beginning of the show. Last night, the woman put on a yellow sari complete with indian jewelry. If you missed it, she also wore a gold lehenga on the very first episode this season.

Being that she is a fashion designer, I give her some kudos for her effort but I don’t think she pulls it off that well.

What say?

You can catch last nights’ episode here.

The Bindi Goes Mainstream!

First we saw it on Ashley, then saw Katherine wear it for a role. Last week, spotted Natalie adorn a few too many for her character in Mira Nair’s next, and then last night on “The Bachelor”, one of the ladies “Marshana”, not only adorned the “bindi”, she had also designed the gold lehenga that she wore on the show!

While, it is fun to watch, of course the fashionista part of me hates that some of them had to wear cheap fake jewelry instead of the good old real stuff! Don’t get me started on Katherine’s outfit!

Ashley: Part Deux

The YouthAids Benefit Gala “Faces of India” was an interesting night. While Padma Lakshmi and Miss India Puja Gupta decided to wear dresses, Ashley Judd looked gorgeous in a silk purple sari! And this time Ashley had the bindi on in the right place!

Ashley’s Sixth Chakra!

We give kudos to Ashley Judd for fighting AIDS in India. But, we do not give kudos to her for putting on this bindi to the premiere of “India’s Hidden Plague” hosted by National Geographic.

It just looks totally “out of place” and now we want it totally “out of sight”!

Stole Style

Shop Via Fabindia

Here’s a style tip.. Stoles. Stoles. Stoles. The easiest way to weather those transition months, and, what a chic way to go into Fall. Used wisely, it would compliment so many clothing choices, and is so marked for being a wardrobe staple, that is, if it isn’t already!

Throw it over jeans or little dresses to breathe some style into them and, for making a statement about you that sets you apart..and it sure doesn’t hurt to cover those bare shoulders when the nights begin to get a little nippy. I especially love the silk stoles from Fabindia with those vegetable dyes or the chiffon ones from Anokhi. They use stunning colors, the prints are beautiful and you know you can’t go wrong with those!

So, cover up and drape that stole.
