In Twos

While doing the media rounds in Mumbai to promote her movie, Priyanka was first photographed in a cheery Christian Siriano dress and later, a floral Sabyasachi sari.

She wears both of her looks well. If I had to choose though, her look in yellow would have my vote. From the color to the wispy knot, understated jewelry and the white Choos, it all came together well; she looked lovely.

  1. She went a bit too heavy on makeup with her saree, but then it was for a TV show so can’t really tell how it’s gonna transcend on the screen.

  2. I absolutely loved the first look. The Sabyasachi one is okay- I appreciate that she didn’t follow strict Sabya styling and draped the saree properly, but the wow factor is missing + this blouse doesn’t suit her.

PS: I’m glad she isn’t doing promotions in only-pink outfits (cough, Sonam!)

    • Haha true. The irony is that no matter how much money they spend on their wardrobe for promotions, the merit of the movie at the box office has zero dependency on it. Kitna bhi red pehen lo, movie toh flop hai.

      • If anything, I now don’t want to watch The Zoya Factor because they resorted to such a silly promotional technique. Clearly not much going for the film if you try to appeal to audiences by wearing monochromatic red.

  3. Her saree is the black version of the one Anushka wore recently to an awards show. The black version is somehow underwhelming compared to the green hue Anushka wore.

  4. Finally, she’s wearing her size rather than trying to squeeze into a smaller size. So classy – love the yellow! Sabya looks a bit cheesy – the arms make her look bulky.

    • Well let’s imagine she’s got people like Kardashians and jenners and the hadids and the millennial Pop singers as her friends and peers now, and Sophie Turner for a Sis in law.. quite a competitive lifestyle to not get drawn.

  5. So lovely!!
Why doesn’t she cover up like this (esp. the yellow outfit) when in the US? She looks beautiful in both of these!

Plus people would take her so much more seriously when she’s dressed like above than when she’s dressed in biker shorts.

  6. Love both the looks, especially the Sabya. Its refreshing to see Sabya saree worn casually (if you can call it that), without the whole middle parted hair, and ear lobe tearing earrings! She looks great in the yellow dress as well, my only quibble there is the hair – I hate the hair covering half of her face.

  7. She looked amazing in both. I just cannot get over that sari and thank goodness for no ‘ middle parted hair’ considering it was a Sabya sari.
