Priyanka went with an Indian designer on day two of NMACC opening festivities picking an Amit Aggarwal strapless gown featuring a rangkat benarasi skirt. The gown itself was so so delish but the finishing touches were just so underwhelming. Swap the sandal for a pump, pull the hair back in a pony-tail and less glittery and this look would’ve been soo soo good.
As is, no likey. What a waste of a gorgeous gown. Le sigh.

Why does PC have to tackify everything with boobage?
She looks awesome like she did in early 2000.. but what’s she wearing, reminds me if. Multiple stoles hung together by street shops.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I actually kinda loved PC here. I think her hair looks so much better left voluminous than the pony (which imo doesn’t really suit her face shape) or that fried frazzled look she goes for. Her makeup is on point for a change. Also the whole colour and attire just looks divine on her when it could be a hot mess on someone else. She’s got the confidence to pull this off and I’m gonna give her a ten for that!
Am I the only one not getting these gowns with yards of cloth hanging / draped / twisted around on many of the celebs . Also so tired of all the glittering gold embroidery. Guess I’m getting old . But bring me some understated elegance………
Truly! I’m just happy india doesn’t have a MET .. it would change celeb fashion into some sort of bad science.
Sorry to say but this dress looks like the ones sold in the flea market in goa. If she out her hair up in a bun n wore sandals it would be perfect for a night out in a beach town. And I like it for that.
I love the cavalcade of colours here, but honestly the whole look came down rather odd..

The hair is a disaster and ruins the whole look for me. Also saw a video of her at the event and she has waist length hair extensions here.. looks even more odd considering how the front is styled.. Priyanka has beautiful hair, wonder why the obsession with extensions – and none of the extension looks have been successful!
So the hair extensions ….its an LA thing actually a Calabasas thing.
Doesn’t she have a hair care line for natural hair or is she also selling wigs. That hair is too much with that fabric sample display she is wearing. Its like Amit is showcasing all his colors and designs in one outfit.
The wig would be good with a bikini (to hang by the beach not take a dip hahaha)….
Sorry this dress is a disaster , looks cheap and casual . Perhaps a longer length would make it look more formal , the sequins on top makes it look dated too
I think she looks stunning. The jewel tones are gorgeous on her. Love the sandals too.
Saw the making video and they ruined a vintage exquisite Banarasi sari for this gown.
That is my only gripe. Hope the stitched can be undone after the event and the saree restored to its vintagey charm.
