Wearing one of our favorite pieces from Gaurav Gupta’s latest collection was Poorna at the recent event. This kaftan-dress could’ve been overwhelming but, not so much on Poorna; she wears it well!

The dress is sooooo overwhelming..and the make-up looks like as if she skipped washing the face first..

I beg to differ, this dress does and I don’t think can work for anyone. Except for the nic eprint, there is way too much material happening.

That is TOTALLY overwhelming. Her little face is so awkward amongst that sea of fabric.
Iam not sure if I like this dress! it reminds me of a japanse kimono.

She is such a wannabe, always trying too hard…all her looks are so insipid and dull…not surprised by this one either.

Wow!!! i love this one her. She looks like a greek goddess. This doesn’t feel like a typical GG peice- very bohemian looking.
And Greek goddesses commit collective harakiri after reading that comment. This dress is just awful with nothing redeeming about it. The woman who makes some really chic kaftans is Trina Turk.

Hey P&P, why such an uncritical attitude towards Poorna? Yes, she does like to be edgy and often manages to but this look is a disaster.

This girl has a nice body and the attitude to pull it off. that said I guess she can do way better than this piece of disaster. Atleast put some effort on the make up too lady! The camera needs good make up and the face looks muddy and messy…hire a stylist immediately!

I think with so much fabric, she could have atleast adjusted the length of it right. The print is gorgeous but the dress is overwhelming her.
Dress looks overwhelming on Poorna and the color completely washes her out. The dress almost looks neon on her.
This is SO SO bad. I usually love her cooky bohemian style. Slightly messy, but also very individualistic. This is though, one hot mess.
before i even read your views on poonar or her dress …… i thought ” how overwhelming” …… she and the dress look disastrous …….. its WTH category …….

Ugh… she looks pretty awful. The colour of the dress is gorgeous. Poorna does nothing to lift it. she seems so lost in the dress. sad.
If theres one person who can pull that dress off, its poorna. I agree its a lot of material but seriously, who else could have carried it off? come on ladies. props where props are due.
