Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao tied the knot on Monday in Chandigarh with both the bride and groom wearing Sabyasachi. For their engagement ceremony, the two were seen coordinated in white and the reception saw the bride in a beige Sabyasachi sari and the groom in a tuxedo.

Our congratulations to the newly weds.

    • So true! Looks like first set of pictures has them modelling forcibly while they are happily at their wedding and burst out laughing in between.

  1. Beautiful couple. Love both sarees and also the dress. Groom looks dapper except for the white sneakers in the reception look. Wishing them a happy married life!

  2. The pictures are just wowww! Almost all the pics I didn’t care for what they wore or looked like cause so beautiful and happy. The red saree looks awesome, bride is giving it more radiance. Loved the white outfit pictures and the lite party engagement/wedding feels to it.

    • Patralekha is a Bengali from Shillong. We wear red banarasi sarees for our weddings, traditionally. Still, it was nice of her to stick somewhat to her roots and not try to “Bollywoodise” it too much. And yes, they are both glowing and look very much in love!!

  3. Very nice! Both look awesome and happy.
I’m glad Patralekha added her own charm to the look and made it her own. I cannot help but notice the Sabya pattern here…even the white reception look is so similar to you-kno-who.
That’s why I’m glad Patralekha wore a saree and not lehenga.
I know it is a brand and label allure but please rich men and women of Bollywood…pick someone other than Sabya too!

  4. What I like the most is that the couple looks genuinely over the moon about their forever! True love!! It doesn’t even matter what they wore, because their love is beautiful and it is shining through each pic! Amazing! Congratulations to them!

  5. Love that Bollywood brides are deciding to stick to their roots and not wear lehenga like every other media hyped bridal look . Was missing traditional wedding outfits like sarees for the longest time , Patralekha is looking gorgeous in the traditional saree . Congatulations to the lovely couple !!!

  6. Love Patralekha in the red Sabya saree. The engagement look is ditto to Deepika’s or I’m imagining it. Nonetheless, the couple look great!

  7. Patra looks v pretty in red.. the severe hair in reception look seems too ‘sabya conforming’ … A loose bun wud have been nice. Wish celebs opt for some other jewelry too… That’s also template sabya !!!

  8. Both Patralekha and Raj look lovely! I love how she incorporated Bangla text on the Dupatta which translates to “I pledge all my love to you”. That was a personal touch in an otherwise textbook Sabya look. Glad to see her in a saree!

  9. She looks wonderful , I always love a bride in red . Don’t like the gown at all , the white benarasi I think looks nice too . Glad she chose sarees over lehenghas.
