We’ve seen this Monisha Jaising print in it’s dress avatar on Priyanka Chopra, Malaika Arora and Nawaz Modi Singhania. And even as a top on Shilpa Shetty. But the one we spotted on Ms. Menon sure is a first and might we add, our least favorite.

Maybe with a different set of pants, the tunic might’ve had a chance (and that’s a biiig maybe) but as things were, this outfit was a no-go for us.

Spotted Lara Dutta at a recent Award ceremony wearing a sari.

The sari itself isn’t our thing (nor the clutch) and this ‘look’ just seemed so over-crowded on Lara with way too much happening… the hair, the jewelry, the sari… and yet, despite it, Ms. Dutta comes off looking elegant. How does she do it?

In Valentino

The dress on Freida was a bit reminiscent (for us anyway) of the Christopher Kane dress that we spotted on her a lil’ while back, but while last time the hair was a complete let down, not so much this time. Loved the look head-to-toe… young, fresh and flirty.

Having said that, I am so in love with that runway version. That nude dress is absolute lust-worthy. Only Valentino could’ve turned ruffles into something so gosh-darn-goood. I just said Gosh-Darn-Goood. Yes, I must be in a fifties diner. Or in my fifties. 😉

Let’s get the things we like out of the way first… love the minimal accessories, soft make-up and the color (white) against Ms. Sherawat’s skin-tone. Really do. The part that we don’t? That’d have to be the pinstripes on the gown making it look like a very, very low thread count linen set in a motel.
