In Carolina Herrera

It was a navy blue Carolina Herrera gown for Padma Lakshmi at the Emmys which she accessorized with a necklace from her own collection (one which we loved).

I love the color on her and as much as the minimalist in me rejoices in her gradual move (away) from this infamous appearance, I can’t help but wish for slightly more dramatic hair and make-up.

A Blackout

We all know black has a slimming effect but even the color can’t help when the outfit itself is ghastly. Don’t know what we hate more, the dated hair or the top. Such a shame, because Ms. Tandon could do so much better!

In Pria Kataria Puri

Kiran Bawa (co-owner of Shilpa Shetty’s MediSpa) was spotted in a jewelled kaftan from Pria Kataria Puri‘s recent Resort collection. On the model, we quite liked the kaftan but on Kiran, the extra inches on the end make Kiran look so sloppy.

A Brownout

The usually fab Sri was looking anything but at the mahurat of Telugu movie Appalraju. The monochromatic look was bad enough already and it didn’t help that the top was much too snug and the slip-on sandals a total mismatch for the look.

Let”s hope she doesn’t get in another Match-Much phase.

Yin And Yang

Two blue dresses worn to two very different results.

Dia paired her blue dress with a matching pair of pumps and some black beads which let’s face it, weren’t (the beads) quite needed. However, I loved that shade of blue on Ms. Mirza, as well as the messy braid which totally worked.

I wish I could find something salvageable about Tanaaz’s look but it’s a hard-sell! The dress, the jewelry, the shoes, nothing worked. And as for the stage make-up…

Though not particularly fond of Dia’s dress, I’d take that any day over Tanaaz’s recent appearance. You?
